Recording Artist Hunter Monroe announces the addition of Guitarist Kyle Stafirny

PRLog (Press Release) - Jul 19, 2012 -
About:
Kyle Stafirny - US Born, Guitarist (23)
An emerging Rock/Blues/Funk guitarist

One of the most charismatic, energetic guitarists you'll see, he has now joined forces with the incomparable Hunter Monroe. Since he picked up his very first Stratocaster at age 13, Kyle knew this would become his life’s passion.
After years of dedication in dark basements and with blood on his fingers, he became the great guitarist that is known today…

Kyle Stafirny

Kyle has been playing underground clubs, concerts and parties, and now is ready to blaze a trail of new sounds with Hunter Monroe. A complete "Natural" on the instrument, he channels iconic guitar legends only to have it come out sounding all his own.
Intense, in your face rock licks combined with the soulful touch of a blues guitarist, he goes after songs fueled by his influences.

Influences include: Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and The Beatles all
the way to James Brown and Crosby Stills & Nash. He dug deep into the
Blues and studied everyone from Robert Johnson, to Howling Wolf to Muddy Waters.

Kyle states...

"From the moment I saw Hendrix burn that guitar at Monterey Pop... I knew that was it for me."

“I needed to see where it all came from to understand that path to becoming the guitarist
I wanted to be. There won't be anything left of my Strat when I'm done."

About: Hunter Monroe

Hunter Monroe’s honey and whiskey sound and her crisp vocals, at a time when female singers have been arriving in waves, she is a rarity; an authentic artist who brings an irresistible blend of musicality and lyrical insight to everything she touches. Gifted with a strong, rich and soulful voice, she can move the soul of an audience with her emotional energy and angelic-like presence. Stunning audiences with her confident stage presence, her vocal prowess matches her charisma as a performer, inspiring comparisons to blues mamas and rock-n-roll queens. Hunter Monroe steps into the blues tinged limelight with seasoned moxy, and it works really well for her. Hunter has an outsize presence, big pipes and unerring timing, that onstage, turn her into a 10-foot force of nature, and she’s more than ready to be discovered.

As a Native of Harlem NY, from an early age, singing felt as natural as breathing to Hunter. She got her start in a musical family, singing solo in her parent’s church and went on to pursue music whole-heartedly. Hunter moved to Northeast PA at the age of 18, where she built a strong local following that has blossomed into a nationwide presence. Noted for her aggressive rock edged approach, as a child Hunter soaked up music from many cultures from gospel to the blues to rock, recently listing some of her favorite bands as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Jimi Hendrix. Her high-heeled blues-fueled performance has won her a major following. She lays her heart on the line with more than a touch of soul and soul music. Hunter is no slouch when it comes to doing her old school homework, she sets the stage with catchy sing along choruses, big bluesy guitars, dig down deep bass and drums that beg for attention. Her raw vocal approach rivals anything anybody caterwauled in the 70’s. In addition to her vocal prowess, she is also a talented songwriter, her innovative sense of phrasing, rhythm and harmony, mixing Blues with R&B, Pop, Jazz and Rock, quickly winning respect from her peers.

The two-time American idol finalist recently launched her solo career under Soundmine Music Works, working with Dan Malsch, Hunter feels her experience has seasoned her as a strong vocalist and performer and is excited about her amazing future for the coming years. It you’re a rock-n-roll fan looking for a little bit of soul, give Hunter Monroe a shot, along with her multi-talented band, they produce what they do quite well in a live setting. Hunter loves to perform in front of a live audience; her goal of making music motivates her to continue bringing music and soul to the world. If you haven’t yet caught her engaging and disarming live show, take a chance on Hunter Monroe and you’ll become a lifelong fan. See Hunter in action once and you won’t forget her.

JT Carter originator of "The Crests" to be adviser to Hard Rocker Tom Martini

Mar 22, 2012 -
JT Carter originator of "The Crests" and most famed for the hit song "16 Candles" in 1958, is to be tour adviser to Hard Rocker Tom Martini. Mr. Carter will work closely with Mr. Martini along with the entire Distorted Voices band to assist with vocals, tour experience, stage placement, and sound. Mr. Martini along with his publicist EA Kroll have known Mr. Carter for many years now and all involved are looking forward to JT's advise and experience's, throughout his many years of touring and national/global attention.

About JT Carter and "The Crests":
The band was founded by J. T. Carter and included Talmoudge Gough, Harold Torres, and Patricia Van Dross (older sister of R&B great Luther Vandross). Carter selected vocalist Johnny Mastrangelo (later just Johnny Maestro) to perform as lead vocalist for the group. Maestro's vocal style on the group's recordings became instantly recognizable and a juke box favorite of the national teen audiences. Maestro's quality vocals, great song selections, and recordings with dance-easy beats made the winning combination for charted hits. The group had several Top 40 hits in the late 1950s and early 1960s on Coed Records, including "16 Candles", "Six Nights a Week", "The Angels Listened In", "A Year Ago Tonight", "Step By Step" and "Trouble In Paradise". They also charted with "Sweetest One" (Joyce label) in 1957. The Crests appeared and performed several times on national teen dance television shows in the late 1950s. Van Dross left The Crests in 1958 after recording two singles for Joyce Records. Maestro left for a solo career in 1961. He would later join The Del Satins, which would merge with The Rhythm Method to become Johnny Maestro & The Brooklyn Bridge. They had a Top 5 hit with "The Worst That Could Happen" in 1969. His place in The Crests was taken by new lead James Ancrum. The group recorded a new single, "Little Miracles". It was the first single not to chart in the Top 100. They also recorded "Guilty" (Selma label). Gough quit the group after the single, and was replaced by Gary Lewis (not to be confused with Gary Lewis of Gary Lewis & the Playboys fame). Torres would also be gone by the late 1960s. The group continued as a trio of Carter, Ancrum, and Lewis. This lineup continued until 1978, when the group split. Carter went on to sing with Charlie Thomas' Drifters. Carter then reformed the group in 1980. He auditioned over 200 singers, finally settling on lead Bill Damon, Greg Sereck, and Dennis Ray and New York drummer Jon Ihle. Carter continued the group well into the 1990s. He sold the trademarks to The Crests name to Tommy Mara in the late 1990s. Mara was Carter's lead vocalist at the time, and now continues the group without Carter. Carter now performs as part of the three person group Starz. Lewis is now singing with The Cadillacs.[3] The 1984 John Hughes teen film, Sixteen Candles, took its title from The Crests' song, which was re-recorded by The Stray Cats for the Sixteen Candles soundtrack. In 1987, Maestro, Carter, Torres and Gough reunited as The Crests for a reunion concert in Peekskill, New York. Patricia Van Dross died in 1993 of complications from diabetes. Hal Torres is deceased, and Tommy Gough is living in Flint, Michigan. Johnny Maestro died Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at his home in Cape Coral, Florida. He was 70 and had lived in Islip, New York, until 2003.[4] In April 2010, the Los Angeles-based rights-management firm Beach Road Music, LLC, acquired the Coed Records catalog, subsequently re-releasing the Maestro song "The Great Physician"[5] on the 2011 compilation album From The Vault: The Coed Records Lost Master Tapes, Volume 1. "The Great Physician" was originally released in 1960 as Coed 527, under the pseudonym "Johnny Masters".

11 year old drum prodigy, Cameron Roux joins The Resemblance

EA Kroll Productions is proud to announce, 11 year old drum prodigy Cameron Roux and Adriano Carangelo (17) on Bass, will be joining The Reseblance Paul and Lee Murray, brothers from Boston Mass.

The Resemblance is the work of two young brothers, Paul Murray (17) and his younger brother Lee (15). Which are joined by the 11 year old prodigy, Cameron Roux on drums and Adriano Carangelo (17) on Bass.

Music is not just a passion for these four, it's a life style. "It's what we do" say's front man Paul Murray. From the moment they picked up a guitar they knew this is what they wanted to do with their lives. From instrumentals that race through your veins like you've just been shot up with adrenalin to the more blues/rock sound, The Resemblance have a sound all their own.

You cannot compare their sound or style to any other artist out there in modern rock and that is what makes these two brothers the future of music! The Resemblance is the future of music and should not be taken lightly because of their age. They will blow you away.

Paul Murray has indulged in playing the guitar for about 5 or 6 years now. In collaboration with his brother Lee Murray, he is a guitarist in the band, “The Resemblance.” Paul focuses on making the most technically proficient and advanced rock and roll to date. Although, this technicality is not to get in the way of the reason that music was made in the first place: to sound good to the ears of everybody who listens.
He is heavily influenced by blues/classic rock guitarists such as Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimmy Page, Robert Johnson, Jimi Hendrix etc and also masters of technicality such as Paul Gilbert, Joe Satriani and Eric Johnson. Most of all, he is influenced by Synyster Gates and Zacky Vengeance. The dual guitar solos and collaboration of Avenged Sevenfold’s guitarists have inspired the Murrays.

Lee Murray is the second lead guitarist in “The Resemblance.” He started to play at a very young age and continues to master the art of technicality of classical and the catchiness of blues. His main goal is to further music in a way that has been previously unheard of; he writes songs with stunning harmonies and intricate composition. Even with his unmatched intricacy, it is of utmost importance to him that he writes music that is accessible to every ear.

Lee, along with his brother Paul, are extremely inspired by the works of Synyster Gates and Zacky Vengeance of Avenged Sevenfold. Lee strives to further the works and harmonies of Sevenfold’s guitarist in an innovative way. He is also influenced by guitarist such as Eric Johnson, Paul Gilbert and Steve Vai.

Back in the 80's I was an Electrical Engineering student at Villanova University and have been working with electronic circuits for almost 30 years now and have been a guitar player for almost as long. In 1989 I built my first Distortion+ clone for a Sophmore college project. I have been building pedals ever since for myself and friends. Everyone was so happy with my pedals I recently decided to offer boutique quality pedals to anybody that would be interested. I am a small one man operation and will strive to always remain so. Remaining small means being able to listen to each and every customer, being open for enhancements, new ideas, and ready to implement these ideas into my products. That is the kind of service you cannot expect from any major instruments manufacturer. And that is the main reason why I believe there is room for such a small but dedicated company as an alternative to the the mass produced monster companies churning out their pedals in shops overseas. Each pedal is my labor of love for a quality of tone and hand built by me to my exacting standards.

What about support...
I stand behind every pedal I build with a full 5 year warranty where I will repair or replace any pedals which have been deemed by me defective in either parts or workmanship. My goal is to never have a pedal returned for either of these reasons, but it is not a perfect world and sometimes things do go wrong.

What about quality...
Each pedal is built upon a solid foundation being...an FR4 dual clad US military spec manufactured PCB. Each layout is designed by me using all the knowledge, education and practical wizdom gained over several decades. Anybody can lay a circuit out, but careful thought of component placement and lead dress are critical for a quiet and quality pedal build. Ground planes are equally important for shielding, all my PCB's conatin a ground plane. I don't just plug and play components until something sounds good. I apply the theories and mathmatical equations required to calculate proper shelving frequencies and properly overlapping tone shaping curves for a gapless signal. Each pedal design also goes through extensive spectrum analysis and oscilloscope monitoring for proper calibration and validation of expected results. I source only the highest quality parts from US vendors. I hand assemble each pedal and rigerously test each finished product. I also drop test...yes...I drop test each pedal design for the equivelent of falling off a 6 foot stage onto a concrete floor several times. And that is the reason I can back each pedal with a 5 year waranty.
